World Series of Poker 2024 Unveils Expansive Schedule in Las Vegas

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is set to captivate the global poker community once again with its 55th edition, returning to the iconic Las Vegas Strip from May 28 through July 17, 2024. Hosted at the prestigious Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas, this year’s series promises an unprecedented lineup of 99 gold bracelet events, incorporating both classic tournaments and innovative new challenges to cater to a diverse range of poker enthusiasts.

Kicking off the series will be the Champions Reunion No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout, an event that uniquely celebrates the legacy of WSOP Main Event champions by offering them complimentary entry, while other contenders face a $5,000 buy-in. This tournament stands out not only for its homage to the past champions but also for its bounty feature, rewarding players with a free entry to the 2024 Main Event for every former champion they eliminate.

The spotlight of the WSOP, the Main Event, commences on July 3, featuring four starting flights leading up to the final showdown on July 16-17 at the Horseshoe Las Vegas. This pinnacle of poker competition drew an astounding 10,043 entrants in the previous year, setting a new record for participation and culminating in Daniel Weinman’s victory, who seized a historic first-place prize of $12.1 million.

WSOP’s commitment to innovation and inclusivity is evident in the introduction of new events like the Seniors High Roller No-Limit Hold’em, specifically designed for players aged 50 and above. Additionally, the series will continue to host popular weekend events such as the “Monster Stack,” “Millionaire Maker,” and “Colossus” tournaments, now with expanded starting flights to accommodate the growing demand.

The WSOP’s embrace of digital platforms is also highlighted through online bracelet events on WSOP.com and daily Main Event satellite qualifiers, enabling more than 450 players last year to secure their Main Event seats through online competition.

Ty Stewart, Senior Vice President & Executive Director of the WSOP, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming series, stating, “We’re proud to be Las Vegas’s original Main Event. With our best schedule ever and more than 100 additional poker tables, we look forward to welcoming legends, first-timers, and everyone in between.”

As the WSOP continues to evolve, its integration of traditional poker elements with cutting-edge technological advancements promises an unmatched experience for participants, further solidifying its status as the quintessential poker event on the global stage.
